Hotels in Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz - the perfect place during hot summer months. Its history dates back as a small fishing village and port to the larger town of La Orotava. Many of the town’s squares, churches and old houses date back to that time.
Puerto de la Cruz sits on Tenerife’s north coast, amid a landscape of tropical fruit plantations. There’s a lovely traditional feel to the place, with its quaint harbour and pretty old town, yet it does sophistication very well, too. Nouveau cuisine is served up in colonial-style restaurants, while the bars mix cocktails with Canarian singers. As for the coastal scene, you’ve got a duo of architect-designed beaches to enjoy here too.
Black sands
The main beach, Playa de Jardin, is a 1-kilometre stretch of black sand that comes with sun loungers, changing rooms and beach kiosks, plus the sort of choppy waters that windsurfers love. The late Canarian architect César Manrique put in a backdrop of tropical gardens with waterfalls, foot bridges, sun terraces and bars and restaurants. And he made the second beach, Playa Martiánez, equally pretty, too.
In the heart of Puerto de la Cruz, near Plaza del Charco, only 150 metres from Playa Jardín Beach. Beautiful swimming pool lagoon style. Ideal for a holiday with your partner, family or friends and for discovering one of the most beautiful of the Canary Islands
Hotel Weare La Paz Puerto de la Cruz, situated just off Playa de Martianez, welcomes guests since 1968 and offers bars and restaurants. This venue features a satellite flat-screen TV, an entertainment programme and a sundeck as well as free WiFi in the rooms.
